The Malta Knights is the national representative team of the Malta Rugby League (MRL).

All players must be eligible as per international sporting eligibility standards via residency, citizenship or birthright.

Head Coach of the Malta Knights since 2004 is Mr Joe Grima.

The Malta XIII is a national representative team for the Republic of Malta.

A player, to be eligible, must satisfy international eligibility criteria and may also be eligible by being a current resident of Malta or Gozo.

Eligible players of the Malta XIII strive towards selection of the national team, that being the Malta Knights.

History of Domestic Competition in the Maltese Islands

2007
In 2007, Mosta Titans, St Julians Dragons, Birkirkara Warriors, Sliema Broncos contested the Malta Rugby League Nines along with an invitational team from England, the Royal Logistics Corps (RLC).

A Malta Selection - players from each the Titans, Dragons, Warriors and Broncos, defeated the Royal Logistics Corps in the final.

Daniel Grima (Malta Selection) was named Player of the Tournament.
