Sydney based Malta rugb Frendo, who made his international rugby league debut for Malta against Germany last season, has been working with MRL Trust’s David Axisa, to locate junior rugby league players of Maltese heritage for a Maltese Heritage U16’s team. "We set a cut-off date of July 27 and are short of the numbers we require at the moment. But we're hoping one last push amongst the existing players that have registered and through our fan base and network of players will see us fulfil the requirements of a full squad and reserves for September's Harmony Cup" said Frendo. The MRL Trust wishes to enter a Maltese Heritage team in the U16’s Harmony Cup and the team would fall under the MRL Trust’s scope for a pathway for Australian based players towards Malta national team selection. All eligible players are asked to email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
