Gozo RL winger Troy McLean has been cleared of a headbutting charge that was reported in last night’s MRL Dove Men+Care Championship round one fixture against Malta Origin at the Balzan FC Ground.

All four delegates on the match review panel were satisfied that McLean had no case to answer but that the MRL would issue a warning to McLean. Severe penalties are in place for such offences deemed as guilty.

McLean this morning apologised to the MRL for the incident that occurred late in the second half.

McLean is free to play in Gozo RL’s next fixture against Sliema Stompers.
