The 2010 RLEF European Bowl fixture from Hamrun’s Victor Tedesco Stadium showcases Malta and Norway’s entry into European competition before the European Shield was battled out this month between the Czech Republic, Germany, Serbia, Latvia, Russia and the Ukraine. Referee Steve Davis controls Malta’s biggest international rugby league fixture and the match is enjoyed by a solid attendance including the strong supportive backing of the South End Core. Making their debut for Malta were Parramatta Eels junior Charlie Bonanno and Gozitan Clifford Debattista and Cardiff Demon Shaun Bartlett made his representative debut alongside brother and Malta centre Paul.
