| Rugby League goes two wheels today |

Non and able bodied players will represent six teams assembled to vie for the inaugural shield at St Martin’s College. The Inspire foundation will field two teams with another four teams coming together from across Malta’s rugby community that will include players from the North RL and South RL teams and an all mens and all womens team each from the Kavallieri RFC. A wheelchair variation of Rugby League, the sport allows both able and non able bodied athletes to compete in the same division.
Of six teams in the competition, one will comprise of Malta national team rugby league players including captain Daniel Grima, John Micallef-Moreno, Mark Seychell and Andrew Zammit-Manduca. Voluntary contributions will be accepted and proceedings will commence with the first game at 10.30am. |





The Wheelchair Rugby League Challenge will kick off later today, the first event of its kind in Malta, thanks to a collaboration between the Malta Rugby League (MRL) and Inspire.
