| Lancashire Rugby League to tour Malta |

Rugby League European Federation (RLEF) Malta Development Officer Anthony Micallef said "Lancashire is a rugby league heartland and we are once again guaranteed opposition of strong rugby league pedigree to face our national representative team in two fixtures in October" The touring representative team will draw players from across the Lancashire county bringing an 18-man squad for the two international fixtures that will mark Lancashire's first ever international rugby league tour. Lancashire Rugby League Chairman Phil Johnson said "We’re looking forward to the series and our new relationship with the Maltese Rugby League and the promotion of the game on Maltese soil" Lancashire Rugby League will play the Malta XIII and both fixtures will be televised nationally across the Maltese Islands. |
