| WORLD CUP LEGACY FOR EUROPEAN NATIONS |
|
Rugby League European Federation Development Executive Kevin Rudd, who is currently looking at possibilities for the sport in Pakistan, has issued a Christmas Kit appeal following an upsurge in interest in the Northern Hemisphere after the World Cup.
With a mass of nations taking the broadcast coverage, enquiries to start playing the game are on the increase. “Due to the growth of the game across Europe, we are receiving more and more requests for complete sets of ‘clean’ team playing kit at Senior or Junior level” he said. “We will be storing equipment in either London or Leeds and will try to collect where possible. We would be extremely grateful for any such kind acts of this nature.” Rudd also pointed out that with new opportunities opening up, there are other practical ways the game in Britain can help hasten development. “It would be a massive boost to these fledgling nations if sides from here went over on tour with a team and left behind their donation, that would double its value and leave an even greater legacy.” Anyone wishing to donate or requiring further information, please contact Kevin Rudd directly on 07720 805834. |
