The Miss Malta Knight Pageant is the annual fundraising event of the Malta Rugby League (MRL).

MRL Ambassador Miss Candice Falzon is the official ambassador of the event, which raises valuable funds for the MRL to continue its mission to promote and develop rugby league within the Maltese community.

20-year-old Rachel Muscat, an Arts and Law student from Woronora Heights took out the inaugural event in 2005 before 11 other beautiful contestants.

Since the first pageant was held, the gala evening of the year for Maltese Rugby League has been a sell-out each year and the guests in attendance have seen Alena Attard, Kylie Refalo and Katrina Muscat take major honours in this time.

“I have met so many great people through this and some I will definitely be friends with for life”.

“It is a great opportunity to meet a group of new girls with one thing in common - having Maltese heritage”.

“It’s a great night to dress up (and girls a great excuse to buy a new dress) and to get the family out and of course, at the same time, raise money for the MRL”.

“As the winner of the 2007 pageant, I had the opportunity to travel to Malta which is something that I will never forget. It was somewhere I always wanted to go, being my heritage, and has now left me wanting to go back again”.
