David Axisa
David is a Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor based in Sydney’s south west. He started playing Rugby League at the age of 8 in the Penrith Juniors district where he was born and continued playing the sport during his high school years in the CRL Group 6 competition when his family moved to Oakdale.
He tried his hand at Rugby Union recently when he trained & played with local Hibs Sharks RFC team in the domestic competition on his last visit to the Maltese Islands.
Due to his busy working schedule, time dedicated to his position of Vice President/Secretary of the Maltese Rugby League Association and the running of his sports tours business, David’s football is now limited to social Oztag competitions across Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
He is very passionate about his Maltese background & spreading the word of Rugby League.
David’s Maltese heritage dates back to the little farming village Siggiewi in Malta’s south, where his father Joseph was born in the 1950’s.
